Our VTCT Level 1 Diploma in an Introduction to Hair and Beauty is designed for home educated learners aged 11–16 who enjoy hands-on, practical learning and want to gain a recognised qualification in a supportive and professional environment.
The course introduces learners to the exciting world of hair and beauty while helping them develop confidence, communication skills, independence and friendships. Learners will gain practical experience in hair styling, skincare, makeup and nail treatments, alongside essential salon skills and professionalism.
As well as achieving a VTCT-recognised qualification, learners build strong foundations for future study, with progression opportunities onto our VTCT Level 2 Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy courses.

Progression routes available on completion of our VTCT Level 1 qualification:

You can secure your place with a deposit of £400. The remaining balance would be payable in 10 interest free monthly instalments* from £235 starting the month after you pay your deposit.
This fee includes: uniform, tools, products, equipment, a hot meal every lunch time, refreshments, online learning portal, unlimited theory support, exam registration fee.
*£49 set up fee on your first months instalment.
