Will I be fully qualified at the end of the course?
Yes you will be fully qualified in your chosen course as long as you pass all the assessments and theory exams.
After completing a course, can I get paid work?
Yes. After your course, you’ll be fully qualified to get a job within the industry. And many of our students have set up on their own and become self-employed.
Do you offer work experience?
Local companies regularly approach us with work experience and job opportunities for our past and present students. We’re always happy to put people in touch.
Do you receive a certificate after the course?
Yes, after your exams, and upon completion of each module, you’ll receive your VTCT Diploma Certificate or ITEC Certificate.
Is the certificate recognised globally in the industry?
Yes. Both ITEC and VTCT are professionally and globally recognised qualifications. ITEC/VTCT qualifications are recognised in over 100 countries all over the world for quality and excellence.
How do I sign up?
For private courses, simply secure your place with a payment. Alternatively, for our funded courses at the first stage all you will need to do is fill in an application form and we’ll be in touch from there! For any of our courses you are more than welcome to come in and take a look around before you decide. Just call us to make an appointment.
How many courses do you recommend to take at once?
Usually one or two at a time, depending on your lifestyle. We want all of our students to get the very most out of their time with us. This is something we can discuss with you personally so we can work with your schedule.
I have seen shorter courses elsewhere but I get the same qualification at the end – how does that work?
We must differentiate between qualification and training. A qualification alone cannot make you a competent barber/hairdresser/beauty therapist. Good, practical training can. All our courses are very much hands-on treatments that can only be taught to a high level face to face. You must adapt to every new client and situation, constantly varying your approach and method. Learning to do this confidently should be part of your training, and in our opinion, this can’t be taught in one or two days.
What happens if a course is full?
We’ll try our best to book you onto the next available course. The majority of courses run 2 – 3 times a year.
What if I change my mind after I’ve booked my course place?
That’s okay, but please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the place to someone else. All payments are non-refundable.
What happens if I don’t pass either my theory or practical exam, or both?
In the unlikely situation of this happening, you’d be able to retake your exams. Our tutors carefully monitor your progress throughout the course and do their best to make sure you have acquired all the necessary skills to pass the first time.
How do I pay for a course?
We accept payment by credit or debit card, Paypal, bank transfer, apple/google pay or cash.
Can I get funding?
Currently we do not have funding available for our courses however hope to be able to offer funded spaces on our Level 2 Beauty and Barbering courses again soon.
