Alternative Provision Norwich – Hair and Beauty Courses for schools

We are proud to be on the list of Alternative Provision at Norfolk County Council. We work in partnership with secondary schools and learning providers across Norfolk to deliver structured, vocational alternative provision for students aged 11–16 who may struggle in mainstream education.

Our VTCT accredited courses provide a positive, skills based pathway that builds confidence, improves engagement and supports progression. Learners aged 11-12 will work towards the qualification and receive it upon turning 13.

Ideal for students who are:

• At risk of disengagement or exclusion
• Struggling in a traditional classroom environment
• Low confidence or poor attendance
• In need of a practical, hands-on learning approach

What We Offer Schools:

• VTCT Level 1 Diploma
• VTCT Level 2 Hairdressing (under 16s)
• Small group learning (max 8) with 1:1 support optional
• All tools, equipment, and products provided
• Hot meals and refreshments included daily
• Attendance tracking and progress reports
• Opportunities for staff visits and regular communication

Placement Options:

We accept learners through:

• School-funded alternative provision placements
• Section 19 referrals
• EHCP personal budgets
• EOTAS arrangements

Includes full delivery, qualification registration, exam fees, resources, meals, and reporting.

We understand the importance of accountability, safeguarding, and clear outcomes when placing a learner with an external provider. All placements follow Norfolk’s Non-School Alternative Provision guidelines and we are happy to complete relevant documentation and support school visits.
