From NSHB Student to Successful Salon Owner – Celebrating Ilona’s Journey
At The Norwich School of Hair & Beauty (NSHB), nothing makes us prouder than seeing our students achieve their dreams. Last month, Sarah and I had the pleasure of visiting one of our former students, Ilona, at her beautiful new salon, SaVa Hair Studio in Attleborough.
It was wonderful to catch up, see how far she’s come and celebrate an incredible milestone – welcoming her 1,000th customer!
From Student to Salon Owner
Ilona completed her VTCT Level 2 Hairdressing qualification with us before returning to achieve her VTCT Level 3 Hairdressing qualification in 2021, following the challenges of Covid.
Throughout her training, she worked incredibly hard, always gave 100% and never stopped smiling. She was a pleasure to teach, and her positive attitude made her popular with both tutors, fellow students and clients.
Watching her confidence grow throughout her qualifications, it’s no surprise to see her running such a successful business today.

During our visit, Ilona shared the exciting news that she has now welcomed her 1,000th customer through the doors of SaVa Hair Studio.
That’s an incredible achievement and a real testament to the quality of her work, her dedication and the trust she has built within the local community. Reaching 1,000 clients is no small feat and reflects the exceptional service and care that Ilona and her team provide every day.
She’s also successfully opened multiple salons since qualifying, and hearing about her exciting plans for the future left us feeling incredibly proud.
