Many of us are looking ahead to the warmer months already. The thought of getting our sandals out and bearing our littles toesies to the elements might sound bonkers when it’s closer to 0 degrees than it is to 20. However, many of us can’t wait to step into spring and that’s why we’ve put our heads together here at The Norwich School of Hair & Beauty to guide you through the hot nail trends and colours predicted for this spring. If you’re a fan of the old polish, read on to find out the top looks that your little piggies should be showcasing in a few weeks’ time.
The BIG news for spring 2021 nail trends and colours is that we will all be seeing a lot of fun colours. A little bit of vibrancy is what we all need injecting into our lives right now.
Bubblegum pink
Who doesn’t see pastel colours when they think of spring? This spring is no different! Pastel pink, pastel blue and even pastel tie dye are all going to be big this spring in terms of nail trends. The more creative and exciting the designs when applying the colours, the better
Checkered Print
Some people are calling this the Indie look, we’re not sure why but we think it looks incredible! Whether you do all of your nails with this pattern, or mix it up with animal prints, spots or stripes, it’s a real eye-opener.
Green Fingers
Of course you can rock a pastel or mint green to tip your hat to the pastel trend for spring 2021 nail looks, but if you want to be really in vogue, then try an olive green or a chartreuse or “a ‘70s inspired shade of green with yellow undertones”. You’ve got plenty of time to experiment with it whilst you’re sitting at home.
Velvet nails
Textured nails were big news back in 2020 and that is only going to continue in 2021.
Zebra print
Animal prints go in and out of fashion all the time but the in-print for 2021 is zebra print. “For a more eccentric look, do only two of your nails and paint the rest in solid black and let your handy work shine”.
Alternate colours
Choosing a colour palette to work from will guide and add style to your nail look. We love this one so much. It’s a much-needed dollop of fun that we can all do with.
Of course, manicures and pedicures are a big element of our Level 2 Beauty Therapy Diploma course.
If you are lucky enough to live with one of The Norwich School of Hair & Beauty’s wonderful students, you might be able to benefit by being a willing guinea pig. Payment will of course be a set of wonderful nails.
