6 most frequently asked questions at the Norwich School of Hair & Beauty

Our courses offer participants the chance to learn essential beauty, hairdressing and massage skills and kick start their careers in the industry. If you’re thinking about applying for a course at our school, take a look at these 6 frequently asked questions before you apply.

1. Do I need previous qualifications to join a course?

While some of our advanced courses require participants to have previous qualifications, our level 2 and day courses are open to all applicants. This means you don’t need to have any experience in your chosen area to start training at the Norwich School of Hair & Beauty.

Once you’ve completed a level 2 course, you’ll be able to move onto more advanced courses. This gives you the opportunity to further enhance your skills and make yourself even more employable.

2. What type of job can I get when I qualify?

When you qualify from the Norwich School of Hair & Beauty, there will be a number of avenues open to you. As you’ll be fully qualified in your chosen area, you can start applying for jobs in salons as soon as you graduate.

A lot of our students also go on to launch their own beauty businesses. While some open their own salons, others choose to work as mobile beauty specialists or freelance practitioners.

3. What is the age range of students at the Norwich School of Hair & Beauty?

The minimum age for students joining courses at the Norwich School of Hair & Beauty is 16. However, there’s no top age limit and we have a wide range of participants on our courses. While a lot of our students join the Norwich School of Hair & Beauty straight from school, others are taking courses as part of a career change or to help them get back into work after having children.

4. What qualification will I receive on completion of my course?

You’ll receive an ITEC Certificate on completion of each beauty therapy module. If you choose to do the full beauty therapy course, you’ll receive an ITEC Diploma. ITEC stands for International Therapy Examination Council and is a highly regarded qualification in the industry. As ITEC is an internationally-recognised qualification, your certificate or diploma will be valid in at least 38 other countries.

5. How can I pay for my course?

There are a number of options when it comes to paying for your course. If you want to spread the load, you can pay the fees for your course in instalments. This makes our courses very affordable and allows participants to pay as they go. Alternatively, you can pay for your course in one lump sum. We now have funding available for our Level 2 Beauty Therapy course (please contact us for more info!)
