With October and new classes fast approaching we wanted to take the time to introduce you to some of our Beauty students who qualified at the end of July.
Let’s celebrate Lisa, Ciara, Ella and Jesse who have already made their mark on the beauty world, after just 3 months of completing their qualification with us.
Lisa’s Success: From Insurance to Award-Winning Salon Owner
Lisa’s journey into beauty therapy is an inspiring story of resilience and passion. Having previously enjoyed a successful career in insurance and as a qualified AAT accountant, Lisa decided to make a bold move when she opened ‘Belles Hair and Beauty’, her own salon. She did this to support her daughter and colleagues who lost their jobs from a previous salon closure in October 2023.
Determined to lead by example, Lisa enrolled in the Beauty Therapy Diploma course in October 2023 and has since flourished. Her hard work and dedication earned her the prestigious ‘Student of the Year award’ at the CWA awards, a remarkable achievement. Now a qualified VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapist, Lisa has also completed a Gel Nail course, expanding her offerings to support her thriving salon.
Lisa’s story proves that it’s never too late to follow your passion and create something extraordinary, even after an already successful career.
Ciara’s Dream of Combining Dance and Beauty
Ciara, a passionate dance teacher, always dreamt of merging her love for dance with her passion for beauty. By enrolling in our Level 2 Beauty Therapy course, she took her first step towards achieving that dream. Her favourite part of the course? Makeup and manicures—skills she thrived in!
After completing the course, Ciara landed an exciting role at Park Farm Hotel, Hethersett, bringing her one step closer to her goal of one day owning her own salon and studio, where she hopes to teach dance and offer beauty treatments side by side. Filled with enthusiasm and future ambitions, Ciara offers advice for those considering the course:
“100% join! It’s amazing for working around an already busy schedule, and the support is wonderful. The tutors are very kind and knowledgeable, and I learnt so much!”
As she continues to grow in her new role, Ciara is excited to gain more experience and eventually launch her dream business.
Ella: Building a Home-Based Beauty Business
Ella, another star of our fast-track beauty therapy course, completed her training from March to July 2024. Her natural talent and hard work have allowed her to quickly establish her own beauty business. Ella offers a wide range of treatments, from relaxing facials to waxing and brow tinting, all learned during her time with us.
In addition to her core treatments, Ella took the opportunity to train in lash lifts, adding a popular service to her services. With her sights set on further expansion, Ella plans to keep growing her clientele and introduce even more treatments, such as brow lamination, to meet the growing demands of her home salon.
Ella’s story demonstrates the power of skill-building and ambition, as she continues to develop her business and offer exceptional treatments to her clients.
Jesse’s Journey from Personal Trainer to Beauty Therapist.
Jesse, a dedicated personal trainer, made the decision to expand her skills by joining our fast-track Beauty Therapy course in March. Her goal was to offer a broader range of services to her clients, and since completing the course, she’s done just that. Jesse has secured a position as a therapist at the prestigious Park Farm Hotel and Spa, where she can now combine her passion for health and wellness with beauty therapy.
With a bright future ahead, Jesse’s goal is to continue expanding her training and adding even more treatments to her portfolio. Reflecting on her experience, Jesse says:
