Your top tips to get motivated.
There will be times when you will feel that you need to give up, but don’t give in to your
head! Just follow your heart, and never be too stubborn or ashamed to ask for help. Tutors
are always there to help and guide you through
Tell us about your journey/career since finishing your course?
I started up my business in January 2013 , I had lots of ups and downs, but perseverance
and my passion for my job always got me through the hard times. Even after Covid times my
business came back stronger than ever. People’s word by mouth recommendations that I am
constantly getting are a testament to a passionate team at Jackie Hamilton School of Therapies over the last 10 years.
Your go to place for inspiration, and why?
Jackie Hamilton and Dawn Dean were my go to people for inspiration. Over time I gathered
other big Reflexology names as well like; Jane Sheehan, Sally Kay, Karen Middleton, Sue
Ricks, Carol Samuel, Lorraine Senior, Barbara Scott, Sam Belyea, David Whate, Spiros
Dimitracoulas. I listened to their stories and I said if they can do it, I can as well.
Other times I needed to find inspiration in myself and needed to find the strength to carry on no
matter what!
What are you most proud of so far?
My business and my professional relationships I built with other like-minded therapists.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
A successful small business owner, who likes to help people no matter if it’s physical, mental
or emotional help.

I am a mobile therapist in Ipswich, and surroundings, I even travel as far as South Norfolk,
Stowmarket, Burry St Edmunds or on the border of Essex

I Offer Reflexology (Foot, Hand and Ear) Swedish deep tissue and Wavestone Massage,
Aromatherapy Massage, Aromatherapy products, Facial Treatments, Manicures, Pedicures

Person centred unique and personalised treatments, I listen and I make a plan of action afterwards.
Overall experience of the training.
My best ever decision when I emailed Jackie Hamilton back in 2011 about her upcoming Swedish Massage course. On all 3 Level 3 courses I learned so much and I’ve gained so much information and support that it can not be described in words.
When I was studying my Aromatherapy course I was going through one of the toughest times of my life. Having had a car accident in 2020 I started having panic attacks in 2021. A lot of times it wasn’t easy to focus because I was so tired for a few days after my panic attacks, but the great support, encouragement which I got at school or even outside of school days was amazing! I wouldn’t be where I am now if it wasn’t for the excellence of the Jackie Hamilton School of Therapies. I had Dawn Dean as a tutor for all 3 of my courses (Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy) thanks to her knowledge and trust in me, I am the Therapist I am today.
