After leaving the army and becoming a full-time single parent, Kyle found himself struggling to rediscover his path in life. Financial priorities meant his long-standing interest in barbering had always taken a backseat. However, Kyle’s determination to create a better life for himself and his daughter fueled his drive to take a leap of faith and pursue his passion.
Thanks to the funded Barbering Diploma at NSHB, Kyle gained the skills and qualifications he needed to turn his dream into a reality. Today, he is a self-employed mobile barber, offering gents’ haircuts and facial hair services while continuing to build his client base. The flexibility of barbering allows Kyle to balance his career with the demands of raising his daughter, providing the stability and fulfillment he had long been seeking.
Reflecting on his motivation for completing the course, Kyle shared, “I wanted to provide me and my daughter a better life and do something I have a passion for.”
Without the support of the funded course, Kyle’s journey into barbering might not have been possible. We’re thrilled to have played a part in helping him transform his life and find his purpose.
Kyle’s story is a shining example of how determination, passion, and the right support can change lives. We wish him continued success as he grows his business and builds a brighter future for himself and his daughter.
If you’re inspired by Kyle’s journey, whether you’re looking for a new career path or simply want to pursue a passion, we’re here to help you take the next step. Check out our Free VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Barbering.
