Level 1 Hair & Beauty Diploma: The Perfect First Step for School-Age & Home-Educated Learners
Our VTCT Level 1 Diploma in an Introduction to Hair and Beauty is the ideal starting point for young people who are curious about the industry and want to build confidence, friendships and practical skills in a supportive environment.
Designed for school-age and home-educated learners, this course focuses on learning through doing – in a fun, encouraging setting where students feel safe to grow and be themselves.
What Does the Level 1 Hair & Beauty Course Cover?
Throughout the course, students are introduced to the foundations of hair and beauty, including:
-Basic hairstyling techniques
-Skincare and facials
-Nail care and creative work
-Presentation, hygiene and professionalism
The emphasis is on skill-building and confidence, not pressure. Students learn at a steady pace, supported by tutors who genuinely care about their progress.

What’s Next After Level 1?
Level 1 Hair & Beauty is often the first step in a longer journey. After completing Level 1 you can progress into Level 2 Hairdressing, Barbering or Beauty Therapy, already feeling confident and prepared for the next stage.
