This exclusive, industry-led training programme has been developed in partnership with Norfolk Passport to support the growth of their expanding spa destinations and to train the next generation of exceptional massage therapists.
Norfolk Passport is entering an exciting new era of spa, with FFOLKESPA now open at The Ffolkes, Byfords’ luxurious treatment room newly launched, and PIGSPA continuing to deliver outstanding treatments and private spa experiences. With this expansion comes an increased demand for passionate, committed therapists — including complete beginners.
Through the Spa Academy, NSHB will guide you step-by-step through comprehensive full-body massage training, leading to the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage — a nationally recognised and fully accredited qualification. You’ll gain expert instruction, hands-on experience, and the confidence to begin your career in the spa and wellness sector.
Best of all, upon successful completion, you’ll be guaranteed a position within the Norfolk Passport spa team.

Upon successful completion of the Spa Academy training you’ll be:

The majority of the Norfolk Passport Spa Team are self-employed, giving you the flexibility and ownership over your role, but with the continued support of the business and additional training to help you build your own career and name within the industry.
Your new qualification also opens the door to further advanced training, including:

- Pregnancy Massage
- And other specialist therapy courses to continue your professional development.
The Spa Academy partnership programme includes 7 in-person training sessions, combining hands-on practical learning at NSHB with immersive on-site training within Norfolk Passport venues.

Overview of the sessions
Session 1 — Norfolk Passport Introduction
Location: The Ffolkes Spa, Hillington
A powerful introductory session exploring purpose, passion, and connection within your future role. This reflective workshop helps you understand the deeper impact of your work as a therapist.
Sessions 2 & 3 — Practical Training
Location: The Norwich School of Hair & Beauty
Develop the hands-on skills and theoretical knowledge required for the VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage.
Training includes:
- Full Swedish body and face massage techniques
- Anatomy & physiology
- Client consultation and communication
- Aftercare guidance
- Professional standards
Session 4 — On-site Norfolk Passport Training
Location: The Ffolkes Spa, Hillington
Focused training centred around the Norfolk Passport customer journey, including consultation forms, treatment preparation, and delivering a seamless, memorable guest experience.
Session 5 — Practical Training
Location: The Norwich School of Hair & Beauty
Continue developing your massage techniques, confidence, and theoretical understanding in preparation for assessment.
Session 6 — Practical Assessments
Location: The Norwich School of Hair & Beauty
Complete your practical assessments under tutor supervision, demonstrating technique, professionalism, and the industry standards required to achieve your VTCT qualification.
Day 7 — Theory Exam
Location: The Norwich School of Hair & Beauty
Undertake your VTCT multiple-choice Anatomy & Physiology exam, relating to Swedish Massage.
£800
- You can secure your place with a deposit of £200. The remaining balance would be payable in 3 interest free monthly instalments of £200 starting the month after you pay your deposit. The is a payment plan set up fee of £49 payable on your first instalment.
What else will you need
- Course Books: Anatomy & Physiology book by Louise Tucker and Massage book by Louise Tucker
- Kit: Towels and oil, we will give you guidance on these.
- Student insurance, can be from the CThA which you can access here.
Included: Course fees include access to exclusive online student area, uniform (NSHB t-shirt), VTCT exam fees, course theory work, specific videos and unlimited support inside and outside of the classroom.
